Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Harken, a product of Havens & Angar ("HAAN", "we", "us", "our"). By creating an account, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Harken.

1. Who can use Harken

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract under Nigerian law to use Harken. By signing up, you confirm this is true of you.

2. Your account

• You're responsible for keeping your login details secure, and for everything that happens under your account.
• Provide accurate information when you sign up. Impersonating another person or business is not allowed.
• We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms or Harken's community standards.

3. Posting on Harken

You're solely responsible for what you post. You agree not to post anything that:

• Is fraudulent, deceptive, or misrepresents a product, service, or event that doesn't exist or isn't as described
• Infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, or other rights
• Is illegal, harassing, hateful, or sexually explicit
• Promotes anything illegal under Nigerian law

We rely on user reports and admin review to keep the platform safe. We may remove any post, at our discretion, that violates these terms — including posts that have already been boosted, without a refund of the amount spent boosting it, where removal is due to your violation of these terms.

4. How matching and reach work

Harken shows posts to users based on location, declared interests, and real engagement behavior. We don't guarantee a specific number of views, a specific audience, or any particular business outcome from a post or a boost — Harken is a discovery tool, not a guaranteed-results advertising service.

5. Growth credits

• Growth credits (signup and referral bonuses) have no cash value and cannot be withdrawn, transferred, or exchanged for money.
• Credits can only be used to offset the cost of boosting a post.
• We may adjust the credit program, including future signup or referral amounts, at any time. Credit already granted to your account will not be reduced retroactively.
• We may revoke credits obtained through fraud (for example, fake referral signups).

6. Boosts and payments

• Boost pricing is shown to you in full — daily rate × duration — before you confirm payment. What you see is what you pay.
• Payments above your credit balance are processed by Paystack. Harken does not store your card details.
• Boost payments are generally non-refundable once a boost has gone live, except where required by Nigerian consumer protection law, or where we determine in our discretion that a technical fault on our end prevented the boost from running as purchased.
• If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at the email below before disputing the charge with your bank, so we can look into it directly.

7. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to:

• Use Harken to scam, defraud, or mislead other users
• Attempt to manipulate the matching algorithm, the credits system, or the referral program through fake accounts or fake engagement
• Interfere with or attempt to disrupt Harken's systems
• Scrape, copy, or resell content or data from the platform without permission

8. Content ownership

You retain ownership of what you post. By posting on Harken, you grant us a license to display, distribute, and promote that content within the platform (including showing it in feeds and via shareable links) for as long as it remains on Harken.

9. Disclaimers

Harken is provided "as is." We work to keep the platform reliable and secure, but we don't guarantee it will always be available, error-free, or uninterrupted. We are not responsible for the accuracy of what other users post, or for the outcome of any transaction, service, or event arranged between users off the platform.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Nigerian law, HAAN's total liability to you for any claim relating to Harken will not exceed the total amount you've paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Harken grows. Continued use of Harken after an update means you accept the revised terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
